Copyright & AI Music — How It Works

AI music sits in a fast-moving copyright landscape. This page explains the position GoAISong takes, what we do not promise, and where your responsibility starts.

AI-generated audio is treated differently across jurisdictions, platforms, and rights organizations. We do not litigate that on your behalf. What we do promise is a clear set of terms, a subscriber record (the PDF License Certificate), and a disclosure that travels with every commercial-use surface.

GoAISong does not claim copyright over your generation

For songs you generate under an active Creator or Studio subscription, we do not claim copyright in your output and do not register works on your behalf. Your output is delivered under GoAISong terms; what you do with it is yours, within those terms.

No uniqueness guarantee

Two users with similar prompts may produce similar outputs. Common templates (birthday songs, simple love songs, generic background loops) are especially prone to overlap. We do not guarantee that any specific generation will be unique, novel, or registrable.

For high-stakes commercial uses (national ad campaigns, brand anthems, signature artist tracks), treat any AI generation as a starting point that needs human authorship layered on top.

You remain responsible for downstream clearance

You are responsible for clearing your inputs (uploaded audio, prompted lyrics referencing real names or trademarks, third-party samples), confirming destination-platform rules, and respecting rights of publicity. Creator and Studio coverage does not waive these.

Platform policies vary

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Content ID, TikTok’s Commercial Music Library, Meta’s sound libraries, and similar services each set their own AI-music acceptance, disclosure, and removal rules. They change frequently. Confirm the policy that applies to your distribution channel before publishing.

Standard commercial disclosure

The GoAISong Commercial License grants the right to use the GoAISong-generated output in specified commercial contexts under GoAISong terms. This license does not cover: (1) third-party inputs you upload (audio, lyrics, names, likenesses); (2) third-party platform policies (Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, YouTube Content ID, etc.); (3) unauthorized real-artist voice or impersonation; (4) lyrics, melody, trademark, or rights-of-publicity violations in your input. Users remain responsible for confirming downstream platform and rights-holder requirements.
